Vietnam has been recorgnized one of the most friendly and safest destinations in Asia and probably in the world. It has a stable government and a very low crime rates. You should not be worried about violence, crooks or theft when walking in busy streets or in mountainous areas during days and nights.

The local authorities pay much attention to foreign tourists. All in all, it would be better to think of safe in sensitive places such as railway stations, bus stops, markets and night clubs.
